I wasn’t super adventurous with my makeup over the month of January. I spent a lot of time just trying to treat my skin for all the horrible things that winter has been doing to it. A lot of my favourites this month are products that help with the crazy cold weather and the fact that it makes my skin, hair and lips shrivel up into a dry mess.

Face oils always make such a difference on how my skin looks and feels. I actually find this one to be one of the best that I’ve tried. I’ve been using it for such a long time but I recently started using few other facial oils lately and I find they just don’t as good of a job as this one does. My face just looks so glowy and hydrated when I’m wearing this it really does make a difference in how my skin feels overall. My boyfriend actually told me that I looked greasy when wearing this and I don’t think he meant it as a compliment but I totally took it that way…
My love for Lumiere has been rekindled over the last month. It’s been in my work bag for the last few weeks and I’ve been enjoying wearing this shade so much! It’s the perfect bold shade that’s still wearable for work or basic everyday activities! I love how long lasting this lippie is yet it’s still super comfortable. It is a matte lipstick but I would say it’s more of a satin finish in my opinion. I’m loving this lipstick and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it in the upcoming winter months because it’s the perfect shade for the season!
The winter is horrible for my lips. I always end up with the flakiest lips that just crack and are painful. I’ve found a lot of amazing treatments and lip masks over the last year or so and that’s definitely helped quite a bit with the overall feeling of my lips. But I was looking for something that I could use on a regular basis that was just a normal lip balm. I love the Fresh lip balm but I wanted a little bit of a change. I started using the Agave Lip Balm because I’ve had it for almost a year and I really am enjoying it right now. I love wearing this as a base before I apply any matte lipsticks. It does such a good job at creating a layer between my lips and the drying matte formula. I definitely don’t find it to be as deeply hydrating as some of the masks and treatment products that I’ve been using lately but it’s an awesome product for everyday and I’ve been loving wearing it over the last few months!
This product basically dropped into life out of nowhere and it’s been life changing! I’ve never had such soft and silky hair than I have when I used this after my shower. I’ve basically just wanted to touch and play with my hair all the time since I started using this. My boyfriend also was pretty shocked by how my hair felt after I started using this. It was instant that my hair felt amazing and I feel like I never want to stop using this again. I’ve had this in my collection for ever now and I remember really liking it but it just kind of was over shined by everything new and cool that I purchased. I only found it because of the crazy amount of organizing that I’ve been doing lately because the clutter in our condo is starting to drive me crazy.
This was an amazing discovery this past month. I’m obsessed with how this concealer covers my under eyes and makes them look flawless. This is definitely a concealer that you have to set with powder though. I wore this to work a few times and didn’t set my under eyes and it was not a pretty sight at the end of the work day. When I do set this concealer it has the perfect amount of coverage to keep my eyes looking bright and awake. I’m so happy I was able to pick this up in a recent trip to the states and I’m excited to find a way to purchase it in Canada now that I know the right shade for me!
