Lipstick Feature Friday: Sephora Collection #Lipstories in Oui

The Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lipsticks got so much hype when they were originally launched. Then I feel like the hype died out just as quickly as it rolled it. I now rarely see anyone talking about any of the lipsticks! They are such a good price that I had to give them a shot!

I do really like the packaging of the lipstick. I find that the cardboard packaging is super unique. There’s not a lot of lipsticks out there with that type of packaging. Each package does have a completely different design on it which corresponds with the name! The lipstick packaging actually feels fairly good in quality, not like something cheap which you might expect for cardboard.

I decided to pick up the shade Oui! (03) which is a cream finish.

It looked super wearable and seemed like the perfect shade for everyday! It turns out the shade is essentially a glossy version of a shade slightly darker than my lip colour which is exactly what I was hoping it to be. Basically it just takes my lips to the next level on days that I’m not looking for much!

The cream finish is super smooth and just glides on to the lips. I find that sometimes a glossy lipstick can be a little too sheer for me. I have pretty dry lips and if a lipstick is too sheer than it just looks horrible. But this one was wonderful. It’s the perfect creme formula.

This isn’t the most long wearing lipstick but that is usually the case when it comes to creme lipsticks. They usually just last a couple hours on the lip before you have to reapply them. I don’t really mind that with this colour specifically since it is so close to my natural lip colour that it doesn’t end up looking weird as it slowly wears away.

I’m a huge fan of these lipsticks and I’ll definitely be purchasing more in the future! You can’t go wrong with these! Have you purchased any of the #Lipstories Lipsticks? I’d love to know what you thought of them!
