Drugstore Must Haves – The Best Affordable Makeup Products!

Lately the quality of drugstore products have been getting better and better. I’ve always been the biggest fan of drugstore products and they hold a special place in my heart. I love being able to find an affordable product that performs so well. I decided to round up some of my all time favourite drugstore products that work just as well as any high end products that I’ve tried!

Maybelline – Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation

This is a must have for anyone looking to get a fuller coverage foundation from the drugstore. It’s a matte finish but doesn’t look thick or cakey on the skin! I’m actually almost done my second bottle of this so you know it has to be good! They have a pretty good selection of colours and I think this would work for just about any skin type – it’s a lot more versatile and wearable than the dewy version of the Fit Me foundation!

L’Oréal – Infallible Pro Glow

If you’re looking for a more natural looking finish than I highly recommend this foundation. It has a pretty good coverage while still looking natural and glowy. It last a really long time on the skin as well. I adore the colours in the lighter range because they are a lot more neutral. Sometimes lighter skin tone shades can be too pink or too orange toned but this foundation range is great for my skin tone in both the winter and the summer months.

Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer

I’ve tried quite a few drugstore concealers and none of them compare to this one! It’s perfect for hiding any imperfections on your skin and to cover up any under eye bags! On days that I am wearing minimal makeup or don’t have a lot of time I actually just add a little extra product on the high points of my face (cheeks, nose, chin and forehead) and I can totally skip wearing foundation!

Physicians Formula – Butter Bronzer

This is such a popular product so I had to include it! I also think it’s one of the few drugstore bronzers that I always end up using. Any other bronzer or contour shade that I end up using is more high end. But this rivals all of my high end bronzers and blushes! This blends out so well and builds up to the perfect bronze shade on my cheeks. It also has the most amazing scent that I just want to sit and smell the product all the time!

Essence – Pure Nude Highlighter

If you’re looking for a natural highlighting powder this is exactly for you! I’ve been addicted to wearing this on a regular basis ever since I first purchased it. It isn’t one of those blinding highlights but it just gives your skin the perfect glow. I also love using this to set a cream highlight down as well as to set all over my face since it just gives you the perfect all over dewy glow when you wear it that way!

Maybelline – Creamy Matte Lipsticks

If you’ve been reading my blogfor a while than you know how much I love these Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks. I always wear Touch of Spice but I own pretty much every other shade (this formula is too good not to have them all!). There’s so many different shades in the range so you can find exactly what you are looking for! The all wear so well and are super comfortable!

Burt’s Bees – Blush

This has been a more recent discovery but it’s been a must have in my makeup routine. This blush is fairly pigmented but it blends out so well. It also has amazing staying power! I’ve been loving the shade toasted cinnamon and I’ll definitely be picking up the other shades that they released. I hope they come out with a bigger range of shades in the future!

L’Oréal – Infallible Eyeshadows

These have been some of the best foiled eyeshadows that I’ve ever tried! These perform better or on par of all the other high end foiled eyeshadows that I’ve tried. They blend out so well and they show up so bright and pigmented on the eyes! I’m actually trying to use up the shade Amber Rush in my project pan this year – which you can read here.

Wet N Wild – Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette

I loved the original Wet N Wild eyeshadow palette but the new formulation that they have come out with within the last year have just been one notch better! I love that they palettes now come with a few transition shades which are so important! The pigmentation is great and the colours blend so well together! (I have a full review of the Rose In The Air Palette on the blog that you can read here– the quality of the Comfort Zone palette is very similar to the Rose In The Air palette)

Rimmel – Transparent Powder

I haven’t always been the biggest fan of setting my concealer and face products – but I know that when I do my makeup looks so much better. This has been one of the most long lasting powders that I’ve ever owned! It’s also probably one of the only ones that I’ve hit pan on. But that’s because it’s one of the only setting face powders that I actually use on a regular basis. It does just as good of a job as a lot of the higher end powders.

Maybelline – Brow Precise Micro Crayon

I’m really not the most particular when it come to the brow products that I use, I tend to always make products work for me. But there aren’t a lot of brow products that I’ve actually tried from the drugstore. I started using the precise micro crayon from Maybelline and it does such a great job at filling in my brows! It is super precise so you can get the sharp brow hairs and then it brushes out so well and looks super natural!

Have you tried any of these drugstore products? I would love to know your favourites in the comments below so that I can check them out myself!
