With the holiday season right around the corner I thought it was the perfect time to round up the best red lipsticks! I don’t own a lot of red lipstick shades because I’m super picky about the colour and formula of any red lipstick that I wear. I think I’ve been able to find some of the best red lipsticks that work for me and I just had to share them!

Bite Beauty – Amuse Bouche Lipstick In Aries
This was a limited edition lipstick but I highly recommend it if you can still purchase it! It’s the perfect orange toned red shade that looks flattering on almost anyone! I find these orange toned reds aren’t the most popular shades of red but they can look so good! I would say these are better for the summer months but I really enjoy wearing this in the wintertime! It puts a little twist to the normal holiday red shade!
This is probably one of the most matte and long lasting bullet lipsticks that I’ve ever tried! It’s just the perfect formula and I honestly wouldn’t mind picking up a few more shades! Ruby is a really gorgeous blue-toned red lipstick! I think this looks super flattering and it can help make my teeth look a little less yellow. The formula lasts for such a long time and can usually hold up through a simple meal.
Marc Jacobs – Lip Creme in So Rouge
I wish this was a permanent lipstick because I never want to use it up! This was a gift that was given when you hit Sephora’s VIB Rouge a few years ago. It seriously was one of the best gifts that I’ve received for hitting that! This is a amazing lipstick because it’s super long lasting but it’s more of a satin finish. I find that’s always a tough formula to have longwearing so it was a big deal when I tried this on. I love wearing this because it makes my lips look slightly glossy but it wears for such a long time!
I really had to add this gorgeous burnt orange/red. It’s a little bit of a different take on the colour red but I still think it’s part of that colour family. I love wearing this lipstick and I think it gives me that fall burnt orange/red vibe! It’s a really comfortable lipstick that lasts a really long time! I had a coworker ask me about this lipstick when I was wearing it one day because she was shocked that it looked so good by the end of my shift.(I have a full blog post on this lipstick that you can read here).
This was one of the very first lipsticks that I ever actually owned. So it holds quite the special place in my heart. I owned it before I really got into the whole makeup world because it was something I had to wear all the time for the dance group I was a part of. It’s actually such a flattering red lipstick! Revlon was very much ahead of their time with their matte lipstick lines. I really think they came out with some of the best matte lipstick formulas before matte lipstick was even popular. This is a perfect middle ground when it comes to a red shade – It’s not too blue toned and not too orange toned.
What’s your favourite red lipstick? Do you have one that you just can’t get enough of? Have you tried any of the ones that I love? I would love to hear about it in the comments below!
