Sephora Collection – Cucumber Cleansing Wipes Review

Sephora Collection – Cucumber Cleansing Wipes Review

I think some of the Sephora Collection products can be highly under appreciated. A lot of the products are great quality and a super affordable price. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to start to explore the products a little bit more because I haven’t tried enough of their products. During the Sephora sale in August/September I picked up a few Sephora Collection products and decided to give them a fair shot! I was in the market for some new face wipes and I figured the Cucumber Cleansing Wipes would be a great product to try out from the brand.

I’m usually not super picky when it comes to my makeup wipes but I do like something that’s moist enough that I don’t feel like I’m constantly tugging at my skin. This one wasn’t bad for that but I did put the wipe under running water for a quick moment if I was wearing anything more than minimal makeup.

It did a good job at removing my face makeup but I usually had to go in with a facial cleansing oil or a micellar water to remove most of my mascara – which tends to happen for me with most makeup removing wipes. But I would still probably only use these as a first step in my cleansing routine. I think it’s pretty important to follow up with a cleanser to really deep clean and remove everything from your skin – since I don’t think the wipe on it’s own would really cut it.

Now, what I really need to discuss is the scent of these wipes. It’s has a sweet cucumber scent to them that’s fairly strong. Like so strong that If I go to lay down in bed after just using this wipe that’s all I can smell for 20 to 30 minutes. Even my boyfriend has pointed out the smell of them on a couple occasions. He actually enjoys the smell and has used the wipes a couple times on his own face!

Overall I really don’t think I would repurchase these in the future. I found that they were decent but they aren’t any better than ones that I can find at the drugstore often for a cheaper price. Plus I don’t really trust a skin care product like this that’s so heavily scented – it really can’t be that good for my skin!

Have you used any of the Sephora Collection Cleansing Wipes? I would love to hear about your experience with them in the comments below! If you’ve tried one of the other scents was it super overpowering as well?
