Makeup Trends – Blown Out Yellow Eyeshadow

Makeup Trends – Blown Out Yellow Eyeshadow

Lately, I’ve been all about easy makeup looks on a regular basis. That’s why I wrote my last blog post – my everyday makeup routine. I love making things easy for me on a regular basis. So I’ve been loving blowing out one colour all over my lid. I think with the right colour it can really give your eyes such a great pop!

The colour I’ve been addicted to wearing lately is yellow! I think it really manages to make my blue eyes pop in the best way possible. It’s such a random colour but I get so many compliments when I’m wearing it all over my lid.

I started wearing it because I watched a Youtube video by Jkissa where she rocked the colour and it was just super inspiring! She always makes me want to wear bright colours and be more creative with my makeup.

But after watching her video I realized that I barely had any palettes that included a yellow shade which I thought was so random. But my Colourpop Yes Please palette has the most perfect yellow shade that works with my eye colour.

I think this is a trend that is getting more popularity and will be super hot during the upcoming fall season! A lot of instagrammers and celebrities were wearing it in the spring season but I think it’s going to start to get a lot more common for the everyday look! A few palettes are releasing soon that feature a gorgeous yellow shade – like the Smashbox Cover Shot Palette in Sunlit Yellow and the NYX Cosmetics Swear By It Palette (which I reviewed in my Purchase or Pass post).

What do you think about the yellow eyeshadow trend that’s starting to sweep across the makeup world? Is it something you want to start to wear? I would love to hear in the comments below!
