Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
The theme for this month’s bag was all about being creative. I feel like they really managed to showcase that this month! I loved the bag so much. It’s such a cute design and they sent out markers so that you can colour it in! The size of the bag is also perfect. I’ve been wanting a larger bag and Ipsy finally delivered. I’ve been using the bag a bunch since I received it and it keeps all of my staple makeup products in one place!

I wasn’t sure about this when I first saw the preview. It looked kind of boring in my opinion. After wearing it I do like it more than I was expecting. It’s a really nice warm brown colour. It has pretty good staying power and I can usually get through a day of wear without creasing. I was able to pack it on top of other shadows or wear it on it’s own which was great. I don’t think I would have purchased this on my own but I really like it so far and I’m sure I’ll get some use out of it.
Lately I’ve been on such a mascara kick. I just want to try a new mascara every week. I really like getting sample size mascaras or affordable ones for this reason. I really enjoyed giving this one a try and I would definitely buy this again in the future. This makes a really great lower lash line mascara but it also can be built up for a voluminous top lash! It was extremely black and didn’t flake at all so I was super happy with this one!
I was actually shocked by this highlighter. It looks normal and average when you see it in the pan. The first time I used it I layered it over a creme highlighter so I really didn’t get the full effect. But after trying it on it’s own I’m 100% in love! It has this really nice pink flip to it that looks perfect for the spring season! It’s not super glittery and it wears a decent amount of time on me. It’s not super long wearing but it lasts about the same amount of time as other highlighters that I own. The packaging is adorable and it’s perfect for travelling or putting in my makeup bag when I’m on the go!
I’m still unsure of my feelings toward this lipstick. It has a really odd scent to it, like it smells chemically and cheap in my opinion but I weirdly like the smell! The colour is really nice but I think I would have to mix it a lot of the time because it can make my lips look sickly at times. The formula is what I’m unsure of. It has a glossy finish to it but it skips across my lips sometimes and doesn’t look opaque on my lips. It looks better when I apply it on top of a liner because that seems to help the formula and the colour.
I wasn’t completely wowed by this product but I think it’s something I have to use a bit longer to really see the full effect. I never really see a huge difference right away when I use these detox type masks. It did leave my skin feeling soft and I didn’t react to it or break out right after which is important. I have so many other face masks that I really like though so I don’t think I would really purchase this again in the future!

Overall I was not excited by the bag when I first saw the preview but I’m sure happy with it after testing it out for a few weeks. The products were all good quality and I found a few gems in the bag!
