I am finally back to blogging after quite a long hiatus over the past couple months. It wasn’t really planned on my end but life was busy and unfortunately my blog wasn’t able to take priority. I was juggling a few jobs for a while and I moved to a new apartment. Everything is finally starting to settle down and I plan to go into 2018 with more of a focus on my blog! I’m really excited to see what the new year brings and it’s looking good so far!
Just because I didn’t have time to blog doesn’t mean I didn’t have time to play with makeup. I definitely feel like I was wearing a lot less makeup throughout December but I found a lot of products in the whole process of moving and reorganizing that I ended up loving!

I’m pretty much obsessed with everything peach related so all of the Too Faced peach products get me so excited! I kind of avoided picking up the lipstick though because I was afraid that I was going to love them and want to buy all of the colours… and that’s essentially what happened in December. I now own four different shades and I think each of them are perfection.
The scent of peach infused in these lipsticks is perfect and it smells like a bowl of peaches and cream. It’s pretty powerful of a scent and lasts quite some time on your lips so if your sensitive to those kinds of products this might not be for you. It is different than the original peach palette. That had more of a candied peach scent where as this one smells more like a cream.
This is a comfortable matte formula that has a pretty good lasting power. If I wear it to work it usually stays on throughout the day and I’m left with some product on my lips by the time I get home. They are fairly pigmented and don’t seem to skip on the lips when I apply it.
Overall this might be one of my all time favourite lipsticks!
I was on a huge colourpop super shadow kick in the month of December. They are so easy to apply and tend to last most of the day on my eye. I loved putting a different shimmer shade on my lid each day and then blending it in with Cornelious.
This is one of the only Colourpop shades that I’ve hit pan on and it’s for a good reason. It’s a really great warm transition shade. It pairs well with just about any shade on the lid.
I think I wore this most days in December and I’m glad I have a backup of this shade because I really think I’ll finish it up in no time!
I really can’t get enough of this highlighter palette! I actually included this in a past Makeup Bag Monday blog post and still feel the exact same way about it. This gives the perfect glow to the cheeks.
I usually mix the first two shades together and it looks perfect on my skin tone. My boyfriend always tells me that my highlight looks on point when I wear this so I know it has to look pretty awesome.
This one could be a little light for much deeper skin tones but there is another spotlight palette in Gold that would probably work better for that.
I honestly wish the first two pans were a little bigger though. I could have probably done without the third glittery shade as well but it is nice to have that option sometimes. When it comes to highlight I usually favour a more satin look compared to a full glitter highlight.
I kind of avoided foundation throughout most of December. I wore a lot more concealer and just applied it in the areas that I needed. But I did like applying this tinted moisturizer because it helped give my skin that extra layer of evenness. It managed to make me look a little more healthy and alive. This isn’t completely mattifying but it didn’t make my skin look super oily. It was more of a natural finish which was great since I basically just wanted something to even out the discolouration on my face.
I liked that this had SPF in it because I spend a lot of time near windows and in my car now so I don’t want to take any chances when it comes to skin damage. I always think SPF is super important but it’s become much more of a focus lately.
With winter rolling through in full force my lips have been a nightmare. I always have fairly dry and cracked lips but this year has just been a new level of dryness. The Fresh lip products really seem to help though. I hate how pricey they can be but they honestly make such a difference on how my lips look and feel.
I actually have a couple of these in the smaller travel sizes and I keep them everywhere. They feel fairly soothing on my lips and they really help to bring moisture back into my lips. It’s a bit thicker of a formula and I always find I have to be careful when applying this because it’s so soft in the tube. But it’s an amazing formula and definitely worth checking out if you suffer from dry lips.
I actually had a huge issue with a split lip at the beginning of the month and this made such a huge difference for it.
I have always been so ride or die for the Colourpop brow pencils but the Goof Proof pencil definitely stole my heart recently. This is actually a much better shade for my hair when comparing it to the Colourpop pencil. Which I find crazy because I always used to think the Colourpop one was perfect.
I also find the shape of this pencil to be life changing. A lot of brands have this triangle tip but I didn’t actually feel like it made a difference for me until I tried this Benefit one. I can do my brows in like 2.2 seconds now. I always struggle with brows but this really makes it a little bit easier for me.
