Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
This month’s theme for Ipsy was Volume Up. It’s meant to remind us to really speak our mind and to be loud about our thoughts and feelings. I thought this was a super fun theme and I was expecting very loud and out of the box kind of products. But I honestly never feel that the products in the bag really reflect the theme for the month. I usually only see the theme in the monthly bag.

I thought the bag this month was super cute. But I probably will just throw it into a bin in my closet and never use it. I just find this size of a bag (which is normal for Ipsy) to be awkward. I can never really fit enough products into the bag to make it worthwhile to use it.
I was really interested in trying out this polish. I’ve actually never tried anything from this brand but I’ve seen it all over Instagram and Youtube recently. I found that this was a polish that you can totally get away with only applying one coat. It’s pretty opaque and can get a little goopy the more that you apply this. I loved the colour that I received and I think it’s going to be perfect for the summer time!
I’m not a huge fan of cream cheek products so I’ll probably stick to just wearing this on the lips. I found it had a really great scent to it. The colour was nice but not something I would usually wear. It’s just too light of a pink for me. I think this will be great for a minimal makeup day. It’s super sheer and works just like a moisturizing lip gloss.
This product completely shocked me. I honestly was expecting this to be a shadow that was dry and hard to work with. BUT this honestly felt like butter when I swatched this the first time. It goes on so pigmented and looks amazing all over the lid. I’m so happy I tried this product and I probably never would have if it wasn’t for Ipsy.
I actually have quite a few samples of this exact pencil. It’s one of my favourites for tightlining. I find it stays really well when I apply it there. It’s waterproof and lasts the whole day. It’s also super black! This is one of the best liners that I’ve tried and I really want to give some of the other colours a shot!
I have so many hand and body lotions so this was a little excessive for me. I did like the scent though, it’s giving me a lot of tropical summer vibes. This sunk into the skin really well though and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable or greasy.
