Ipsy Review – December 2016

Ipsy Review – December 2016

Ipsy is one of my favourite monthly subscription services. Each month Ipsy sends you 5 different deluxe or full-sized products and a makeup bag. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.

Ipsy December

I’m really into the bag this month. I this would make a cute clutch for a night out with my friends. It definitely would work if you were looking for something for a holiday party.

Ipsy December

Royal & Langnickel – MODA Angle Shader Brush (http://bit.ly/2hsxJ6T)

Last month I received a brush in the exact same shape. I said last month that this isn’t a type of brush that I’ll use on a regular basis and I still feel the same way. I’ll probably just keep this around in my collection though since it is a good brand of brushes.

Ipsy December

Hikari Cosmetics – Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Iris (http://bit.ly/2hiJveZ)

I really haven’t been into liquid liner lately. I don’t know what it is but I just don’t want to spend a lot of time on liner when lately I’ve just been making a mess of it. I’ll probably just keep this in my collection and leave it sealed. I’m sure I’ll get around to using it eventually.

Ipsy December

Smashbox Cosmetics – Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer (http://bit.ly/2ixIu7U)

I actually have the full sized version of this product and I’ve enjoyed it the few times that I’ve tried it. It’s easy forget that this is an option though because I usually just pick a matte lipstick from the start. I think this might be more useful during the winter months. I want to try to avoid drying out my lips as much as I can so this might be a great way to keep my lips a little more hydrated.

NYX Professional Makeup – Prismatic Shadow (http://bit.ly/2hoGGwd)

I think this is one of the only products this month that I was actually pretty excited to try out. I have a lot of NYX products but I don’t actually own any of their prismatic shadows. I’ve heard a lot of great things about them and based on the swatch I think I’m really going to like this! The colour is really a shade that I’ve been vibing with lately.

Ipsy December

Marc Anthony True Professional – Strictly Curls Curl Envy Perfect Curl Cream (http://bit.ly/2hixnL7)

I really haven’t been embracing my curls as much lately as I used to. I should probably go in and change my quiz answers on ipsy to maybe avoid this. I’ll probably still give this a try eventually but I have a few other hair products that I’ve been using regularly and love. This might just end up sitting in a drawer in my house for quite some time.

I don’t think this was a great month for myself and Ipsy. This month I got mostly meh products, with only one item that I was really looking forward to trying. I haven’t been reviewing my bags as much in the past few months, so I’m hoping if I start reviewing my products again the items will start to get better again!

What items did you get in your Ipsy bag? Have you used any of these products before? What were your thoughts? I’d love to hear you input in the comments below!
