Ipsy Review – October 2016

Ipsy Review – October 2016

Ipsy is a monthly subscription service. It features 5 different deluxe or full-sized products and a makeup bag for $10 USD per month. Shipping in the US is free and it’s $4.95 USD for Canadian shipping. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy for several years now and it’s a lot of fun getting a few new products sent to you every month.

This month’s bag has a Halloween theme going on and I think it was a great bag. I know I said last month that the bag was my favourite, but this one takes the cake. It has some great little spooky doodle’s on it and I’m loving it!

NUDESTIX – Concealer Pencil in Light 2
I’ve loved all of the NUDESTIX products that I have tried. I’m just afraid that this isn’t going to be as good as my holy grail IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. I love playing around with concealers but I just haven’t really found a product that blows me away.

Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker – Fragrance Rollerball
I’m always a little apprehensive to get a fragrance in a subscription box because I’m so picky when it comes to these products. I just know the exact scent that I like wearing and this for sure is not that. It’s still a nice scent but not something I would enjoy wearing. I’ll probably pass this along to my mom if she’s into the scent.

Teeez Cosmetics – Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Romantic Red
I’m a huge lipstick “collector” so I was pretty excited to receive this product. The packaging is amazing! It’s just so unique and fun – unlike anything I have in my makeup collection. I’m not the biggest fan of red lips, I feel like it’s hard for me to find the perfect red lipstick. But I’m hoping this one is going to look good on me! The Ipsy website says that this lip colour is long wearing and smudge proof which I think is so important for a bold red lip.

Kat Von D Beauty – Tattoo Liner in Trooper
I have so many of the Tattoo Liners and even more black eyeliners that I could have done without this product. I used to love applying a nice wing liner but I find I’m just not as good at it anymore and I always just end up frustrated in the end. I know this is a great product but I think I’m going to pass it along to someone who might end up using it a bit more.

Adesse New York – Liquid Chrome Organic Infused Nail Lacquer in Grand Central
This was definitely the product that I was most excited for when I saw the preview for this month. It just looks like such a fun nail colour with a cool chrome finish. I don’t have a lot of chrome polishes in my collection right now which is important. I’m currently attempting to declutter my polish collection and get rid of products that I either don’t like or that are bad. So it might be a little while before I get around to trying this. I think it will be a perfect colour for winter and the holiday season.

I also cashed in some of my Ipsy points to get this Caked Makeup lip fondant! I was so intrigued by the brand and the packaging that I knew I needed to get it and try it!

What products did you get in your Ipsy bag this month?
