Colourpop is definitely one of my favourite makeup brands. I’ve gone on quite a few shopping splurges on the Colourpop website. I appreciate the amount of products that I can get from them at such a reasonable price. I’ve always loved their lip products, I think I own almost all of their ultra satin liquid lip products.
Recently I’ve been trying their highlighters and I don’t know why I haven’t tried them earlier. They are amazing!
When I found out that Colourpop was releasing a limited edition tie-dye I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was really disappointed that I didn’t get it during its first release, but it sold out in less than a minute so I’m not completely surprised I missed out. But I did manage to get my hands on the product during its second and final release.
The churro highlighter is the perfect combination of those bronze, golden colours that you want to cover yourself with in the middle of summer. Colourpop mixed three of their existing highlighters – Wisp, Avalon and Stole the Show to get that perfect colour. It looks perfect swirled together that it was almost painful messing that up while trying to get a swatch and applying it on my face.
I am quite the pale/fair girl so I was a little disappointed with how dark the product looked on me. It’s definitely a highlight for when I’ve self-tanned or more of a bronzer when I’m rocking my natural skin colour.
I’m still in love with this colour it just might not be the perfect highlight shade for my skin tone. I’ll be playing around with this colour as much as I can over the next month so I can find the perfect way to use it on my face!
Did you manage to snatch up the limited edition highlighter? What did you think about it?
