Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
Recently Sephora released a few new Favorites lip sets. Those are always my go to and I think I’ve purchased every single one over the last couple of years. They are usually such good value and a great way to try out new products or different colours. One of the newest sets is the Give Me Some New Lips set. It includes a bunch of newly released lipstick products. Because they are all new I knew there wouldn’t be any way that I already owned any of the products which is super exciting. Before purchasing this I was a little unsure of all the colours but I knew that I wanted to try all of the formulas.
Winter has always been pretty tough on my skin. I think my skin really changed when I moved to Ottawa for university. The winters there are pretty harsh and they really managed to draw out the moisture from my skin. I also started using a skincare product line a year or so into university that didn’t mesh with my skin at all. So I’ve just always been trying to recover from that. Luckily moving back to the Toronto area has helped my skin in the winter time a bit. It still feels fairly dry and flakey but I’ve recently found a product that has almost changed the game for how hydrated my skin feels.
Every other week I try out 5 products and use them every single day for a week. This helps to give me a better understanding of exactly how I feel about the products. It sometimes forces me to use products that I rarely reach for or ones that I might have forgotten about.
I’m super excited that I’ve started to bring back my Makeup Bag Monday series. Spreading these posts out is working out great for me so far!
I’m really happy with all of the products that I picked out this week and I think they really brought me out of my comfort zone. It had me use some products that have just been sitting around collecting dust in my collection lately.
I’m so excited that I recently went through a ton of skincare and haircare products. After deciding to pull together a project pan I’m hoping I’ll be able to add more makeup products to my empties posts. I find makeup just takes a million years to actually use up.
After moving at the end of last year and having more limited funds for a bit I wanted to try to use up a lot of the hair and skin care samples I had in my collection. I also just wanted to try to get rid of a lot of stuff since I don’t have as much storage space as I maybe need for the amount of product that I own.
