It’s been quite some time since I last posted a blog post. I’ve had a very busy and overwhelming past couple months. I’m starting a new job over the next couple weeks and the lead up to this and work that I’ve been putting in to get everything organized and set up for me to leave my current job has just left me exhausted. I also have been helping out at my mom’s house because she was away on vacation and her animals are just a lot of work. Her dog had me up at the most random hours throughout the night.View Post
Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
The Ipsy Bag for May is all about travelling and seeing the world. If there’s anything that I can dream about it’s more travelling! I love a good travel theme and the Glam Bag definitely fits with that theme. I actually went out of town for a weekend and packed all of my skin care in this bag which was awesome! It’s a little bit smaller than some of the past ipsy bags but I liked the zipper set up because I’m able to see everything in the bag when I opened it up without having to dig around a bunch!
Summer is the perfect time to really switch up your lipsticks and go for something bold and glossy! I have quite the selection when it comes to lipstick options but I always tend to gravitate to certain products now that the sunshine and warm weather is out in full force.
I put together a list of my 5 favourite lipsticks for the summer months!
At the beginning of 2018 I set out a plan to try and pan or use up a bunch of my makeup products. Lately I’ve been super overwhelmed with the amount of makeup that I have in my collection and I thought this would be a great way to challenge myself. I wanted to see if I could actually do it. I always wanted to try and see just how long it took me to actually use up a whole product. Since I rarely use up a whole makeup product I thought it would be a great accomplishment to try and do that with a few specific products.
May was such a crazy month for me! I spent the first week of May travelling in BC. I went to Vancouver and Victoria. It was amazing! I was able to spend some time with my dad who’s out there for work and catch up with some of my university friends that I haven’t been able to see much lately! But this meant that my makeup selection was pretty basic and I spent a lot of time just using my holy grail products. I did switch it up a bit and use some newer products and some that I’ve had in my collection for quite some time!
