I’m a huge believer in the constant use of primer. I never put foundation on without having some sort of primer underneath it. Since I have this huge obsession with primer I am always on the hunt for the ultimate product. I really just want a product that keeps my foundation looking fresh and lasting throughout the day. I don’t think that’s too much to ask, but trust me when I say it’s difficult to find that product.
Over the past few years I have spiraled into having quite the makeup collection. Now my all time favourite makeup products are definitely lip products (hence the name of my blog). But I would probably have to say that my next favourite area of makeup is highlighters. I don’t know what it is but I just feel that much more confident when my skin looks glowy and my cheekbones are poppin’. I decided it was time to post a list of some of my favourite highlight products. It was pretty difficult to even come up with a top 5 but I did my best to narrow down the best face highlighters that I think are worth it!
Throughout the month of April I’ve gone on a serious buying spree. So I’ve been trying to fall back in love with products that I’ve owned for awhile in hopes that it would make me realize that I don’t need to spend more money on makeup. I’m excited to try out everything that I purchased this past month and I’m sure some of those products will be in future favourites posts!
I’ve had a pretty exciting yet busy month of April. I went on vacation with my boyfriend in the middle of the month and spent a lot of time trying to keep up with all my work before and after the trip. It was totally worthwhile and I feel more inspired to focus on my blog and social media accounts a lot more! I have quite a few favourites this month and they are all products that I just couldn’t put down throughout April!
Every week I love playing around with new makeup products. My biggest addiction is lipstick products. I have way more products than I could ever need. Recently I’ve decided that I need to try to get out of my comfort zone and wear more products on a regular basis. Keeping a weekly lip diary has been a really fun way to keep track of everything and it holds me accountable for wearing more lip products.
I spent most of my week trying to catch up on work after being on vacation. Most of the time I feel like I need a vacation right after being on vacation because of how much I need to do when I get back. I was pretty excited with the lip colours that I ended up wearing though. I really tried to wear products that I often forget about.
Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
This month’s theme was Sideshow. It was supposed to give you vibes of confidence and embracing your true self. I didn’t really get any crazy fun products in my bag so I wasn’t really feeling the Sideshow vibes. I still loved the bag and everything in it. I’m just sometimes a little confused by how the theme represents the products.
