It’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with Colourpop cosmetics! I spend most of my days on their website adding products to my cart and dreaming about a day that I can afford them all. Lately I’ve been trying to curb some of my purchases. I have a lot more monthly expenses now and can’t spend as much on makeup. So my Colourpop purchases have been way more delayed than they used to be. I really wanted the Colourpop and Kathleen Lights collab the moment it launched but I used my self restraint to wait a little while to purchase it.
My March favourites is going up a little late but I loved so many products last month that I didn’t want to miss out on sharing them. I’ve been super under the weather the last week and I just didn’t get a chance to completely finish this blog post for the time that I would have wanted to.
I was all about the quick and simple makeup throughout March. I really only got around to playing with colour on the weekends. All of the products that I picked out as my favourites were ones that I could not put down and carried everywhere with me in my makeup bag!
Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
The theme for this month’s bag was all about being creative. I feel like they really managed to showcase that this month! I loved the bag so much. It’s such a cute design and they sent out markers so that you can colour it in! The size of the bag is also perfect. I’ve been wanting a larger bag and Ipsy finally delivered. I’ve been using the bag a bunch since I received it and it keeps all of my staple makeup products in one place!
When I saw the release of the In Your Element eyeshadow palettes by NYX I knew I needed to purchase at least one of them. The shade selections were so unique on each one and they really caught my eye. I feel like they got a lot of hype at first but that died down fairly quickly. I still wanted to give one a shot and really try it out for a while before I reviewed it.
It was hard to pick only one of the palettes but I decided on the Fire palette because I felt like it was different than just about anything else that I own in my collection. I thought you could also get a bunch of completely different looks out of this palette which I thought made it super versatile! I share 3 of the looks I was able to create at the end of this post!
Recently, Influenster sent me the New Formulation of the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in the shade Misfit. I’ve loved just about every Kat Von D lipstick that I’ve tried in the past so I was excited to receive this.
