Every week I love playing around with new makeup products. My biggest addiction is lipstick products. I have way more products than I could ever need. Recently I’ve decided that I need to try to get out of my comfort zone and wear more products on a regular basis. Keeping a weekly lip diary has been a really fun way to keep track of everything and it holds me accountable for wearing more lip products.
I honestly felt like I didn’t really have a chance to relax this week. Every day was jam packed with work or an event or something fun. I just started a new part time job so I definitely feel as if that’s been taking over lately as I try to figure it all out! I still had a lot of fun this week and wore some of my favourite lip products and a few newer discoveries.
If you’re an avid reader of my blog than it isn’t a surprise that I’m addicted to all things subscription box related. I’ve recently become more interested in Beauty Box 5. I’ve noticed that the products in the boxes look to be more high quality items. Compared to a few years ago I think this subscription box has drastically improved and is worth the price point now. This beauty subscription box is priced at $12 USD per month with free shipping to the US and $3 USD shipping to Canada. This is pretty comparable to most of the other beauty subscription boxes out there.
The theme for February was a Kiss Kit. It was focused on lip products which I think was a fitting theme for the month of Valentine’s Day. I did receive my box a little late in the month so I totally missed the holiday but I will never complain about a box full of lip products because I will always have a use for them!
Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada.
The February theme was Much Love. It seemed to really focus on self love and getting a glowing complexion from within. Most of the pictures and advertisements from the month had the influencers in comfy clothing just lounging around.

I wore a ton of nude lipsticks this week. I also managed to keep myself fairly busy throughout the week. Tuesday was Valentine’s Day which meant that I played around with lipstick a bit more to get a fun romantic look!
In January I went on vacation to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. It’s always fun to get away for a little while on a beach vacation. I enjoyed my trip for the most part. My boyfriend and I had some issues with our room but it wasn’t the end of the world. As a makeup addict I couldn’t leave on vacation without at least bringing along some of my favourite makeup products! I decided to create a list of everything I brought on my trip and give you an idea of what exactly was in my travel makeup bag.
