Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and/or full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada. Recently Ipsy introduced an add-on section to their subscription service. You have the option to add three additional products each month. Full size products cost $12 USD and sample size products cost $3 USD.

This month I had a little bit of a mishap where Ipsy sent me two of the Ciate products and forgot to send me the Tarte mascara. But they were super helpful and sent me out the missing product extremely quickly!
I was excited to try out all of the products that I received and I thought they were all products that I would work into my daily routine fairly easily!
I haven’t tried a lot of products from PÜR but the few that I’ve tried have been great quality. When I first saw this highlighter I was sure it was going to be a little too dark for me. I thought it was a little too golden since I’m used to a more icy white or pink toned highlight. But I was very surprised at this highlight. When I applied it on my cheeks it just kind of blended into the colour of my skin and just gave me a gorgeous glow. It has a slight amount of glitter to it but nothing that was over the top or obnoxious. I don’t particularly like that this comes in a magnetic pan. I much prefer face powder products that come in their own compacts. I’m way more likely to reach for it if it has its own packaging because I rarely reach for my custom palettes.
I’ve heard so many people rave about this makeup remover. It’s been on my wishlist for a while but I was planning to use up a few of my cleansing products before I purchased this product. But I was super excited that I was able to give this a try through my Ipsy bag. I actually really liked what this did for my skin. I found that it did an awesome job at breaking up the product and really cleaning my skin from the makeup and dirt on it. I actually found that my skin never felt tight after using this and it usually felt a bit more hydrated – which usually happens if I start my skincare routine with an oil or balm cleanser. I always followed this up with a second cleanser to really deep clean my skin and get it ready for all of the products I apply to it after. I would definitely consider purchasing a full size of this in the future because it does work so well for my skin.
I was really intrigued about trying out this mascara. Lately I’ve been obsessed with trying out mascaras and seeing how everything compares. I’ve never been super picky about mascara so it’s always interesting to see how many mascaras I can make work for me. I found this mascara to be a little disappointing. I was terrified of the applicator the first time I saw it. It looked like something that would poke my eyes out. It also has really short bristles which makes it difficult for my to apply the product on my lashes evenly without shoving the applicator into my eye essentially! I think this could be okay for my lower lash line but it just never gave me the volume that I was hoping to get out of it on my upper lashes. I always had to wear this with my Marc Jacobs Lash Primer to get the look I was hoping for! I’ll still use up this mascara but I would never actually repurchase this because I have tried so many mascaras that perform way better in my opinion!
I went into this mask expecting that I wasn’t going to enjoy this. I find that peel off masks work well for me but they can usually be a little painful and abrasive for my skin. I just don’t always trust that the benefits of these masks outweigh the fact that I feel like I’m ripping off my skin. But I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle this mask was. It peeled off so easily. I almost thought it couldn’t do anything because of how gentle it was. But I felt like my skin felt smoother after applying this mask! I want to keep using this and I think I could easily use up the whole product in a few months! One really fun aspect of this face mask is the fact that it’s a metallic silver colour. I honestly felt like the Tin Man from the Wizard Of Oz while I was wearing it! I also really confused my boyfriend the first time that I applied it because he wasn’t expecting me to sit down at the kitchen table with a silver coloured mask on!
I think I have enjoyed any Ciate lip product that I’ve tried so far. I figured I would really enjoy the formula of this and I was excited to see how the colour would look because it seemed very glittery. After trying it out I’m obsessed with the formula and not super happy with the colour of it. The formula is super hydrating and feels almost like a lip oil. But the colour of it is a little too much for me. There’s a lot of glitter in it and I just don’t really like the colour of the glitter in the gloss. I don’t really think that this is something I’ll end up getting a lot of use out of unfortunately. But I would be open to purchasing this lip gloss in a different shade! I think would really enjoy the formula in a shade of glitter that’s a little more wearable for me!
I actually had such a hard time picking only three add ons this month because they had so many amazing options! I’m super happy with the three I picked and I know that I’ll get a lot of use out of them.
This has been a product on my wish list for so long but I just could never work myself up to actually buying it. I have so many eyeshadow palettes and the last thing I need to add to my collection is eyeshadow. But when it’s such a good price I couldn’t say no. I love the colour selection in this palette and it’s everything I could have wanted in a warm, fiery palette. I do wish that the two glitter shades and the two orange shades were different. I found that those were a little too similar and since there aren’t a lot of options in the palette it could have used something a little different! The formula of this palette works really well for me and I was able to blend out all the colours easily which I thought was great for a palette that does have a lot of bold shades!
I’m still shocked that I managed to get a full sized Ofra highlight as a lower priced add on product. This was such a steal! I love all of the ofra highlighters that I have and this is no exception. It gives a blinding glow to your skin and I know it’s going to be amazing in the summertime.
I’ve been wanting to try this cleanser for a really long time and I was excited that I was able to add this on to my Ipsy Glam Bag. I really like how gentle this cleanser is while still getting my makeup off. It smells so fresh and delicious – like a green smoothie! I love having this as a travel size also. I have a few more getaways planned over the summer so it will be nice to have a face cleanser that’s easy to pack!
This was such a high quality month in my opinion. I’m happy that I was able to try out all of these products! Are any of these your favourites? What products did you get in your Ipsy bag in March? I would love to know all your thoughts in the comments below!
