If you’re looking for a long lasting and comfortable lip product than the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink is totally for you. I always love a good drugstore makeup find and this is the perfect drugstore lipstick. I’ve tried a lot of Matte liquid lipsticks from the drug store and I find that this is one of the best!

The Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink line comes in 20 different shades. You can usually find it in the $10-12 price range. The shade that I own and will be review is called 15 – Lover.
Most of the time the super long lasting drugstore liquid lipsticks require you to put this horribly drying and uncomfortable lip colour on your lips and then follow it up with some sticky gloss. I used to wear them all the time and they just weren’t the most comfortable products. Or it’s a comfortable matte but doesn’t last more than a few hours on the lips without starting to break up. But this is totally different. It’s one step and it feels pretty dang comfortable when you have it on! I do have one of the shade from the original release and I love it but I’ve heard some of the newer colours that they have released are even more comfortable!
This formula is super easy to apply. The applicator tip is perfectly pointed to give you a really precise application. It does dry fairly quickly but there is a small amount of time where your lips feel a little sticky. After a minute or two though that feeling disappears and it feels as if you aren’t even wearing anything!
This formula is completely matte, transfer proof and super long lasting! I can barely even feel it on when I wear it. I’ve been able to eat pretty messy foods while wearing this without losing any of the colour – it’s kind of shocking.
I love this colour specifically because I find it is super similar to my natural lip colour. It just has a little more rosey pink tints to it. So by the end of the day when a little bit of the colour has worn off on the inside of my lips it’s not at all noticeable.
One of the most annoying parts of this lipstick is the removal process. Since it’s so long lasting it’s quite the task to remove all of the lipstick. I usually have to use some type of oil based product to break up the colour and then I follow up with a lip scrub. I actually forgot to remove the lipstick one night and I woke up with all of the product still on – which I obviously don’t recommend but it was pretty shocking!
For the price point I think this lipstick is a must have! You definitely need at least one or two shades in your collection!
