Now that I’m a little more consistent with my blogging I felt like it would be a fun time to bring my Makeup Bag Monday posts! I decided I would revisit the products that I planned to test out in my last Makeup Bag Monday post (http://nudelipdiaries.com/2018/04/24/makeup-bag-monday-10/).
In this series I try out 5 products and attempt to use them every single day for a week. This helps to give me a better understanding of exactly how I feel about the products. It sometimes forces me to use products that I rarely reach for or ones that I might have forgotten about.

I’m still torn on how I feel about this after really putting it to the test. I love how affordable this product is and the shape of the tip. It’s a triangle type brow pencil (similar to my all time favourite the Benefit Goof Proof). But I don’t know how I feel about the formula. I don’t know if it’s just mine but it tends to leave little small chunks of product that don’t always come out with the spoolie. I find it just makes my brows look unnatural and thick. It’s a product that I can work with though so I’ll probably end up finishing it and then never purchasing it again.
Over the last year or so I feel like a lot of brands have started releasing more liquid eyeshadows. I haven’t tried a lot of the different brands. I always like how they look in the end but I struggle to apply them properly. I found this one by Cover Fx wasn’t too difficult but you did have to work quick. If I tried to go over the product after the first application it just smudged weird and removed itself from my lid. But I will say that I liked how easily this blended out on my crease. I usually just buffed in a neutral colourpop super shock shadow into the crease and then everything came together so well. I’m always afraid that these liquid shadows will have a hard time in the crease but this one wasn’t really a problem luckily! I really enjoyed how the shadow reflected a different colour slightly depending on the way it hit the light. It gave the look a more put together feel even though I was using minimal product! It also lasted fairly well throughout the day which I thought was super important!
I only have a sample size of this product but after using it so often over the past week I don’t think I’ll end up purchasing a full size. I just don’t think it sat on my skin very well and it didn’t do the best job at covering up a lot of my imperfections. I was just never happy with my skin on the days that I was wearing this foundation regardless of what type of primer I was wearing and whatever I put on top of the makeup. I even tried it as just a concealer and it did nothing to cover up my undereyes – I actually think it might have accentuated them! Overall I’m just not a huge fan of this foundation and concealer!
I’m so surprised that I’m such a fan of this lipgloss. It honestly lives up to its name of ultra cushion. The gloss sat on my lips and felt almost like a glossy pillow. But it wasn’t sticky or uncomfortable in any way which was pretty awesome. I think the colour looks best over top of some other lip colour though since it’s basically a clear gloss with a ton of little micro glitter particles in blues and purple tones. But it was fun to wear on it’s own in contrast to the similar tones in the cover fx shimmer veil shadow! It’s also a super shiny gloss and made my lips look full and plump! I’m definitely going to look into buying a few other shades in the full size in the new year!
This seriously became one of my go to blushes that I really can’t live without anymore. It’s such a perfect colour and is great for the upcoming fall season. I actually included this in a past favourites because I loved it so much! It’s not super pigmented but gives the cheeks a perfect flush to them that looks really natural! I’m tempted to try a few more of these blushes from Pretty Vulgar because I do enjoy them so much!

Do you try to switch up the makeup products that you use? Or do you always get stuck in a makeup rut? I find that this really does help force me to try to switch up my makeup collection more often! How do you manage to break out of your makeup comfort zone and use more products more often?
