Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit – Review & Swatches

Over the past year I’ve become a huge fan of using highlighters. I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to applying my highlight. But I swear there is no such thing as too much highlight! As soon as I saw pictures of the Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit I knew I needed it in my life. I’ve been really into highlight palettes lately because I love playing around and mixing my highlight shades together. This palette gives you the perfect shades to mix up any highlight you could really want. I’ve never tried any of the Anastasia glow kits or highlights so I was really excited to give this one a try.

Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit

The Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit includes 6 shades (0.16 oz of product per shade). The six shades are:

  • Kitty Kat (pink with a platinum shimmer)
  • Daydream (coral with white gold shimmer)
  • Forever Young (pink pearl with silver shimmer)
  • Forever Lit (platinum with lavender shimmer)
  • Glo Getter (champagne with rose shimmer)
  • 143 (rose gold with bronze shimmer)

Each of these shades are fairly wearable for me which was surprising since I have a pretty fair complexion.

Kitty Kat is a really great shade for me in the winter time. I’m all about a pink toned highlight during those cold months.

Daydream has been my go to shade as of lately, it’s a wonderful silver/pink tone. I’m all about the pink highlights lately!

I think Forever Young would be a great blush topper. It’s a little too orange and a little too warm to be a highlight shade on my skin tone.

Forever Lit is one of the more unique shades for the palette. It’s an icey white with a purple and blue shimmer to it. It looks really great if you want a striking and dramatic highlight – but it would probably not work well for deeper skin tones.

Glo Getter is a really nice gold toned highlight. I’ve been loving mixing it with Daydream for a super unique glow.

143 is more of a summer highlight shade for my skin tone, I haven’t been able to wear it as of lately since it’s darker than my current skin tone.

Now I’m going to be a little negative about this palette. The description of the product states that “each highlighter has an ultra-fine formula that won’t leave behind shimmer particles.” I’m 100% going to disagree with this. When I swatch the highlights on my arm with my finger I find that everything looks very shimmery and almost foiled. But as soon as I apply this on my cheekbones with a brush the glitter particles are apparent. I’ve found spraying some Mac fix+ on my brush before dipping into the highlight can help with avoiding glitter overload. Because of this though I don’t think it’s a simple and easy to work with formula and it’s definitely for someone who wants their cheekbones to GLOW.

Overall I’m super into this highlighting palette even though it can be a little difficult to work with. I think once I get used to how to apply this I’ll wear it a lot more often. For now it’s mostly just for nights out or days that I’m going for a full glam look. I haven’t tried using it as eye shadow just yet but that’s something I really want to try soon.
