Top Nail Colours For The Holidays

Every year around the holiday season I always am way more motivated to paint my nails. I don’t know exactly why, but it might have something to do with the fact that it was the same time as finals and I was queen of procrastination. Around the holiday season I usually have a pretty specific colour palette that I like to stick to. I decided to put together a list of my favourite nail colours that I love wearing over the holiday season.

All of the formulas I included are fairly long lasting. I’m usually pretty rough on my nails and most nail polish formulas can chip pretty quickly. Most of my favourite formulas are included in this list.

I’ve listed the colours below in the order of the swatches above. Yes I know the SinfulColor swatch is smudged, I seriously could not fix that swatch no matter how hard I tried!

SinfulColor SinfulShine – Kafé Latte

I definitely recommend this colour for a fun holiday party. This colour can also work for any New Year’s event you might have. It has a really great wear time and is super affordable. I find the colour is flashy without drawing too much attention for being over the top!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish – Dig Fig/440

This colour screams holiday season to me. I’m a fan of wearing this colour all year round but I feel like it’s way more festive and fun around the holiday season. I will be wearing this colour for all my Christmas events with my family and friends. It’s a great darker variation of a classic red shade.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Colour Polish –  Take Me To Thread/70

This is a go to winter weather colour for me. I’m really into dusty shades as winter starts to roll in. This isn’t the most festive shade but I feel like it can totally work during the holidays if you are looking for something a little subtle and want to avoid the classic red and green colour theme.

L’Oréal Paris Le Vernis À L’huile by Colour Riche Nail Polish – Rose Ballet/224

I’ve been in love with this shade since the moment I purchased it a few months ago. I knew this was going to be a great colour for the holiday season. It’s a dusty red shade. It gives me similar vibes to the previous Essie polish but has more of a holiday/Christmas vibe to it.

Wet And Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel – Stay Classy/732A

This is another dusty toned shade, so I don’t think I need to explain why I’ve been loving this. It has a really subtle pink tone to it and I wore it at the beginning of December and I’ll definitely be painting my nails in this shade during January.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish – Tidal Wave/360

I always need a pop of colour to help me get through the winter season. As much as I love rocking the dusty shades I usually need a bit of colour boost at some point. I think this is a great statement colour that could work if you’re wearing a black, white or grey outfit. I have a holiday party a little early in the season with my best friends and I think this is the colour I’m going to wear for it!
