October has been a month mainly of rediscovering or playing around with products that I have had in my collection for a while. I did purchase a few products this month but I really tried to stick to having a no buy month. Over the past couple months I haven’t felt like I had products that were completely my favourites. I had a lot of products that I tried a couple times and enjoyed – but nothing that I was truly loving. That definitely changed this month and I have quite a few products that became a staple in my daily routine throughout the month.
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Master Palette
This hands down might be one of my favourite products for the whole year. It’s such a versatile palette and I just want to bathe in all the colours. I have a full review of the palette, here. It’s such a great palette for both everyday and intense night time looks.
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip – Lovebug
I easily have an unhealthy obsession with Colourpop products. The Ultra Matte Lips were one of the first Colourpop products that I truly fell in love with. They recently released their fall edit and I was drooling over almost everything that was released. There were a lot of warm terracotta, plum and dusty rose shades. I fell in love with all of the swatches of lovebug as soon as they previewed the product. But when I received the product I was a little unhappy with the swatch because it seemed a lot darker than any of the swatches that I saw on Colourpop’s Instagram account. Even though it is different than I expected I still think it’s a gorgeous colour that I’ve been wearing quite a few times this month. I receive compliments on it every single time I wear it!
L’Oreal Face Mask
I don’t know what’s been going on with my skin lately but I’ve been getting some serious breakouts all across my skin. This has been my go-to product for the month because I find that it not only clears up any breakouts but it also helps with any clogged pores that I have. I have a blog post about this product and a few other face masks that I’ve been loving lately, which you can find here.
Briogeo Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant
My hair needs a serious revival that can only truly be fixed with a hair cut, which I keep putting off for no apparent reason. In this month’s Boxycharm I received a full size Briogeo hair product. I’ve tried Briogeo before and really enjoyed their products. This product did not disappoint. Even though it’s a heat protectant I found that it actually helped to moisturize my hair and make it feel less “straw like.” It also helped to tame all the frizziness of my hair.
Kathleen Lights x Makeup Geek Highlight Palette
I don’t know how I highlighted my face before I had this product! This has been one of the only highlighting products that I used this month. I love using the first two shades alone or mixing them together for a unique highlight colour. I still need to try playing around with the darkest shade because I know it’s way too dark to be a highlight shade for my skin tone. This palette gives you a glow that makes you feel as if you can see it from outer space.
What products have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of these out? What do you think of them?
