Ipsy Review – August 2016

Ipsy Review – August 2016

I’ve had a subscription to Ipsy for years now. It really was what sucked me into the world of subscription boxes. When I saw the preview for this month I was a little unimpressed. But after receiving the bag this month I was actually really surprised by how much I like the products.

Jersey Shore Cosmetics – Mongongo Lip Conditioner in Vanilla Coconut Cream

This was a product that I wasn’t very excited for when I saw the preview for the month. I received a lot of comments on my preview photo on Instagram telling me that this was an amazing lip product. I was extremely surprised when I received this and tried it out. I have chronic dry and flakey lips and this really helped to make them softer. It also had a sweet scent to it that wasn’t too strong or overpowering.

Tarte Cosmetics – LipSurgence Lip Crème in Wonder

I have a few of these already but I don’t have this exact colour. It gives you a hydrating sheer wash of colour.

Symphony Beauty – Makeup Cleansing Wipes

I haven’t opened up this product yet to try it, so I’m not sure how well this product works. But it’s a perfect amount of wipes to be able to take while travelling or for a night out.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics – Neapolitan Palette

I’m 99% percent sure I already own this palette but for the life of me I can not find it anywhere in my collection. I’m not sure if I would use these three colours together for an eye look but they are three nice colours to add to my collection.

Ciaté London – Paint Pot in Spinning Teacups

When I saw the preview for this month I wasn’t super excited about this product because I thought I would get it in a deep burgundy colour. I was pleasantly surprised to get this lighter lavender colour though. I tend to wear bright and fun colours regardless of the season so this was a perfect pick for me.

What products did you get in your ipsy bag this month?
