Ipsy Review – February 2019

Ipsy Review – February 2019

Ipsy is one of my all time favourite subscription services. I’ve been subscribed to Ipsy long before I even had an idea of how to use a majority of the products that I received. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a bunch of different beauty products on a regular basis. Each month, subscribers receive a Glam Bag with 5 deluxe samples and/or full-sized beauty products. The service costs $10 USD, shipping is free within the US and an additional $4.95 USD to ship to Canada. Recently Ipsy introduced an add-on section to their subscription service. You have the option to add three additional products each month. Full size products cost $12 USD and sample size products cost $3 USD.

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick Review

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick Review

There was a time that I was on the hunt for the perfect Liquid Lipstick and I tried every formula that I could get my hands on. I’ve definitely moved away from that a bit and I enjoy just about any lip product now.

Shop My Stash – February & March 2019

Shop My Stash – February & March 2019

Lately I’ve been loving Shopping my Stash. I’ve accumulated quite the makeup collection and I find sometimes I can forget about some of the products that I’ve owned for a while. I also like focusing on these types of posts because they give me a chance to share a lot of mini reviews on products that I own – that aren’t always the newest and greatest. I also would really like to use up a few more of the products I have in my collection and this is one way that I can try to work on “panning” a product in a month (even though I’m sure I’ll probably never hit pan on a product that I’m using for one of these posts.)

My Week In Lipstick #14

My Week In Lipstick #14

Last week was my birthday so I thought it would be a fun week to bring back a Week In Lipstick Post! I used to love writing this series and using it as a bit of a diary for my week – it’s really fitting for the name of my blog. But over the last year my weeks have been a little on the boring side so I wouldn’t always have that much to write about for this post.

My birthday week was a little more jam packed though so I have lots that I could write about! I managed to wear makeup every single day which also doesn’t always happen anymore.

This was one of the first bags in a while that I wasn’t completely wow’d by right from the start. Ipsy has been putting together my Glam Bags lately with some amazing, high end, well known products. Whereas this month I really didn’t get the brands that I’m usually looking for and I basically had to get them through their new add on program. But I was still really excited to give everything a try. Sometimes when you don’t have any expectations of the products you can start to discover new favourites and find amazing products. It’s easy to get pulled into the hype of all the well known products that this was fun to dive into a bunch of under hyped brands.
